숫양과 숫염소의 발음이 어떻게 되나요?
① [수댱], [수뎜소]
된소리가 되거나 ㄴ첨가가 이루어지지 않아 사잇소리라고 볼 수가 없어요. 사이시옷은 사잇소리가 나는 받침이 없는 단어에 사잇소리의 표시로 붙이는 거고요.
왜 굳이 수양, 수염소라고 쓰고 발음하면 될 것을 숫양 숫염소로 사이시옷을 첨가하는가 의문
이 듭니다.
② [순냥], [순념소]
숫양 [숟양 → 숟냥 → 순냥]
숫염소 [숟염소 → 숟념소 → 순념소]
그런데
사잇소리 현상은 합성어를 이룰 때만 가능합니다.
숫양, 숫염소는 파생어인데 말입니다.
